The Golden Square Coup

Shocking news out of the region, as former prime minister Rashid Ali al-Gaylani has attempted to initiate a coup d'etat against the government of our leader. Al-Gaylani has the support of much of the military and even some popular support. Foreign interference is strongly believed to have played a vital role in organizing and supplying arms to the Golden Square traitors. Of all the state actors possibly involved, it is believed that the other nation played the most significant role in supporting the fascist coup attempt. The Golden Square stands staunchly on a platform of removing the British imperialists by force by soliciting the aid of Germany, and many of our people find this to be a very laudable position on the matter.
