What happens
the Russian leader personally telephoned the Turkish leader where he coolly urged the easing of tensions and praised the Turkish President for his contributions to the struggle against imperialism. Russian soldiers have been ordered to deescalate their actions on the Russian border, and Russia has withdrawn their complaints about Turkey's seizing of the Turkish Straits. The Turkish people, being wholly unenthused about the idea of a large war after the brutal War of Independence, let out a collective sigh when the Turkish leader proclaimed to the nation that peace had ultimately won the day, and that Turkish sovereignty had been secured eternally thanks to the bravery of the Turkish people in this time of crisis.
