What happens
Noting the threats facing both of our nations, their government has proposed a pact of mutual assistance. Under the terms, we would undertake no hostile actions against each other. An outstanding issue is the fact that Poland sits between our nations. Any attempt by either side to come to the other's aid will necessarily have to come through Poland. Some members of the diplomatic service strongly believe that we should include Poland in this pact to ensure that we can actually support each other directly.
