What happens
Originally intended to contain the spread of Communism and block the Red Army from marching into Europe, the idea of the Cordon Sanitaire has recently been revived by the Romanian leader to keep the diplomatic outcasts of Germany and Russia apart. The Romanians have sounded us out about joining in a formal alliance with them.
