The other nation wants us to be a Dominion

Our meeting with the Belgium diplomats has borne fruit, and it seems that they still wish to follow a diplomatic path. They have offered us increased autonomy as a Dominion, similar to the British model. We would still need to follow Belgian diplomacy, however, we would have significantly more rights to govern ourselves while still falling under their protection.
