It would seem that our ultimatum was treated with the proper amount of seriousness by our overlord, because today we received the signed writ of independence from the Colonial Administration. Already plans are underway for the official lowering of the Belgian flag, and with it the peaceful transfer of power to our new regime. Although our primary goal has been achieved, the real work of forming a government now begins. We have much to do, an economy to develop, relations with other nations to normalize, and of course certain debts to repay to those who supported us in achieving this dream.
