Chiang Kai-Shek Dead in Plane Crash

Tragedy struck China earlier today as a plane carrying Chiang Kai-Shek exploded in mid-air mere moments after take-off. Rescue crews are still combing through the wreckage, but few still hold out hope that they will find any survivors from amongst the crew and passengers. Both the Generalissimo and his wife are presumed dead. New Chinese leader the Chinese leader has promised a full investigation into the causes of the catastrophe. Rumors abound of a plot to kill the Generalissimo, seen by many as an obstacle in uniting the various factions inside China.
