What happens
In response to what they call 'increasingly hostile German rhetoric', the Soviet military has announced a series of large-scale military exercises to be held this year. It is hoped the heightened state of readiness will discourage the Germans from 'continuing on their slanderous tirade', according to spokesmen of the Soviet Government.
