What happens
A German operation to annex Vichy France, launched earlier this week, has since been completed successfully. However, German forces were unable to take control of the naval base at Toulon before orders to scuttle the French fleet could be sent out. As such, the entire French fleet has been scuttled, in order to keep it out of German hands.
