What happens
In face of the continued Soviet onslaught, the Polish government this morning announced the immediate return of the old German territories of Danzig and Poznań to Germany. Despite utter silence on the part of the Polish or German governments on the reasons why, experts agree it most likely is an attempt to keep these territories out of Soviet hands, in the face of imminent Polish military collapse.
