What happens
Around 06:18 Kriegsmarine and Royal Navy ships has engaged each other just outside Montevideo. Reports are that the German ships are heavily damaged and has taken shelter in the Uruguayan capitals port. British diplomats are pressing the Uruguayan government to force the ship out of port in accord with the Hague convention, where it can surely be destroyed by waiting Royal Navy forces.
