What happens
As per tradition since the loss of the Litoral Department to Chile in the War of the Pacific in the late 1800s, the annual Día del Mar Celebrations are being held today, to remember the Bolivian heroes who once fought against Chile. Many see this as an opportunity to reiterate our claims for access to the Pacific Ocean that was lost when we became landlocked following the war. Should we let the people protest?
