The Governor of the nation has announced that he has mobilized the state's National Guard for what he called "an extended period of training and exercises". The war department claims it has no knowledge of any planned maneuvers in the nation. It also appears that the National Guard units took their full allotment of supplies and live ammunition with them when they marched out, raising questions about just what they are preparing for.
