Monroe Doctrine Enforcer Idea ID

Since the mid 19th century, we have endeavored to protect the western hemisphere from outside interference by colonial powers. Although the parameters of this doctrine have evolved over time, the crux of it means that our neighbors in North and South America will expect us to aid them in times of conflict. It is of course up to our own government to determine when and how to enforce the doctrine.
