What happens
Earlier this week, our representative Li Kenong met with their leader in Luochuan, to discuss anti-Japanese matters and the question of Soviet aid in the struggle against the invaders. At the end of the meeting, they agreed to resist Japan, though they did not agree to negotiate with Chiang Kai-shek. Zhang however, holding a grudge against the Japanese for killing his father, has stated that he will do everything he can, even if it kills him, to convince the generalissimo to join the CPC against the Japanese.
