What happens
In a last ditch attempt to halt the oncoming might of the Japanese forces, the network of dikes and flood defenses along the Yellow River were destroyed by their army. The ensuing flash floods have displaced huge numbers of the rural population, who were given only a brief window to prepare. It remains to be seen if this act can buy their military enough time to regroup and face further combat.
