The Fall of the region

Reports from the region confirm that the Hungarian capital has been captured by advancing their troops. Small-arms fire can still be heard from some fortifications along the Danube's shores, but no significant Hungarian forces have been sighted within the city. Most of the large bridges across the river have reportedly been destroyed, and a few have fallen under the control of the other nation. For the first time in years, Kossuth Square lies quiet, and Buda Castle lies in foreign hands.
