Yugoslavia Submits to Romania

Faced with Romanian demands for a 'drastically restructuring' of their state, and the threat of military force if they should refuse, Yugoslavia saw no other course of action than to submit. The announced 'restructuring', however, has not only resulted in the partitioning of Yugoslavia in its constituent states, but has also involved the installation of puppet governments. It is clear that predominantly Romanian interests have been served under the pretense of the right of self-determination, and that Romanian influence in the region is continuing to grow.
