What happens
A group of Wehrmacht officers opposed to the war have launched a coup against Hitler in Berlin. An unidentified party of armed men stormed the Reichskanzlei, but they were successfully fought off by members of the Führer's SS bodyguard. Gestapo agents have arrested all conspirators, which include high-ranking officers such as Ludwig Beck and Wilhelm Canaris. In a speech before the Reichstag, Hitler vowed revenge against France and Britain for masterminding this 'underhanded attempt' on his life.
