Friedrich Franz assumes the Hungarian Crown

Seeking a King for their nation, the Hungarians, after long negotiations and preparations, officially invited the German Friedrich Franz, Grand Duke of Mecklenburg-Schwerin, earlier this week. Today, amidst much fanfare and celebration, he was crowned King of Hungary in a solemn ceremony at the Royal Palace in Budapest. A member of the SS since 1931, the new King's ideological leanings are well-known, and he has already declared that he 'will bring Hungary the greatness it deserves, no matter the cost'. Together with the King's promise to 'undo the injustices visited on us in the past', it is therefore unlikely this coronation will result in the easing of tensions in the region.
