Crisis In Slovenia

Using the annexation of Austria into the Germany as the basis for their claim, Germany has now demanded the "rightful return" of the former Austrian territory of Slovenia from Yugoslavia. In response, the signatories of the Treaty of Versailles have gathered in London to discuss a solution to the "Slovenian Question." The conference was determined by a surprising turn of loyalties, as Italy backed Yugoslavian territorial integrity, leaving German demands unacknowledged. As ever, Italian foreign policy is entirely unpredictable, and it remains to be seen where they hope this gambit will take them.
