The nation Continues Zuiderzee Works

A large-scale land-reclamation project has been undertaken in the nation, continuing a series of such projects known collectively as "the Zuiderzee Works". After the closing-off of the IJsselmeer with the Afsluitdijk, the reclamation of the Wieringermeer and the Noordoostpolder, the project now focuses on the reclamation of the Flevopolder, the largest area yet to be reclaimed from the sea. Though the full project will undoubtedly span many years, draining has proceeded enough that smaller areas are now already accessible, and the benefits to its industry are palpable.
