Anglo-German Alliance

The British and German governments have announced a pact of mutual military assistance, as well as indicating their intention to "respect the other's sphere of interest". Not all may be surprised to see this development after Germany's increasingly pro-British rhetoric in recent months, but the terminology of the treaty has taken many experts aback, and even led some to issue warnings for what this could mean for Europe.
