What happens
It is no secret that the Japanese have a tremendous interest in the resources of our East Indies. Two options are available to us: either grant the Japanese exclusive rights to the resources they desire in our colonies, or give them outright control over the colonies altogether. If we wish to maintain peaceful relations with Japan, we will have to make a choice.
