What happens
Pope Pius XI has issued a Papal Encyclical addressing the Mexican situation. While the Cristiada was resolved at the negotiating table and the open bloodshed has been ended, the Church is still worried about the direction Mexico is heading in. The Encyclical urges Mexican voters to side with religious candidates in elections, and calls for Mexican religious parties such as Catholic Action to address social problems, such as poverty, to prevent more revolutionary violence.
