What happens
Portugal has approached our government, proposing the unification of our two nations under the rule of Dom Duarte Nuno, who will be crowned King of Portugal and Brazil. The Portuguese government has stated that they will not accept a negative response, and has urged us to accept the proposal in order to avoid a potential conflict between our nations.
