What happens
Our request to the Swedish government for a joint defense of Åland has been met above expectations. Sweden has joined us in war against the Soviet Union, refusing to remain neutral in the face of such a blatant threat. Despite internal disagreements, they will now fight with us side by side to secure continued Finnish sovereignty.
