What happens
With the threat of war on the table, the Hungarian government has suddenly become a lot more friendly. Our ambassador was invited to a private lunch with the Hungarian leader, where he was assured that Hungary wanted nothing but peace and friendly relations with us. Any statements in the sensationalist press should not be taken as coming from the Hungarian government, which has never wanted a war.
