What happens
His Holiness, Pope the leader, demands that we hand over the state of the region. His emissaries claim that such a holy site should only be governed by the Papacy, and refusing such a demand would be heresy. Complying would greatly benefit our relationship with the other nation, but the region lies at the crossroads between Europe, Asia, and Africa - which makes it such a strategically important place, now as throughout history.
