What happens

While flying to the French border, Chief of Air Force Aldo Pellegrini’s and General Pietro Pintor’s airplane encountered engine problems and started to rapidly lose altitude. Faced with certain death, Pellegrini took the controls and managed to crash land the airplane thanks to his familiarity with Savoia-Marchetti aircraft. Everyone on board survived, albeit bruised up.
