Austria Refuses German Anschluss

In the face of a much stronger enemy the Austrian leadership has decided to not give in to recent German demands that they submit and join Germany. Troops from Germany have lined up on the Austrian border but it remains to be seen whether a full scale invasion will be commenced. These events follow upon years of souring of relations between the countries and mounting pressure from the German for Austria to integrate into Germany.
