What happens
The German puppet state of Sweden has sent us an envoy on a secret mission unbeknownst to its overlord. The Swedish state is seeing the writing on the wall, and are now seeking a way out of this conflict and come to us with a proposal. It is currently preparing for a large scale defection in an attempt to seize the German mainland while its forces are preoccupied elsewhere, but they stress that they cannot hold a two front war against us and their overlord. They propose that we keep up the charade for now, but when they flip sides we sign a white peace treaty and fight side by side. Sometimes a knife in the dark is more effective than a battering ram in broad daylight.
