What happens
In a somewhat suprising move, the American government has declared Iceland to be within their sphere of interest, and upon a request from the Icelandic government has agreed to commit troops to the protection of Iceland. All Icelandic foreign politics will be managed by the American government from this point on, turning Iceland into a de facto American puppet state.
